What To Expect

Your comfort is our top priority. We will communicate with you every step of the way, from the diagnosis, planning, procedure and recovery stages.

In most cases, we will complete a thorough examination and X-rays to get a complete picture of your dental health. We will then work together to determine the right course of treatment for your needs.

Depending on your procedure, anesthetics may be administered to ensure you are relaxed and comfortable.

After your treatment we will also provide follow-up instructions and care to help ensure the long-term success of your treatment.

We believe in a personalized approach to caring for your dental health. Our goal is to be your partners in dental health. Generally, people should have a dental checkup to evaluate the overall health of their teeth, gums and mouth once every six months at least. However, we will work with you to help you determine the right cleaning and checkup schedule to fit your individual needs.

Regular dental appointments help set the foundation for a lifetime of healthy oral care.

Your dental appointment will be catered to fit your individual needs. However, if you are having a routine dental checkup or other standard dental procedure, here are some things you can expect:

  • General cleaning and polishing
  • Oral examination to check for cavities or other areas of concern
  • Discussion and education of other exams or procedures that may be needed

At the beginning of your appointment, you should let the dentist know of any concerns you may have. Dental health is a team effort, and good communication with your dentist is the first step to making the most of your dental appointment experience. If you have dental or overall health concerns, let us know as soon as you arrive. Even minimal changes in your teeth, gums and mouth could be signs of a potential problem. Let us know if you have noticed any changes or are experiencing any pain or sensitivity.

Also, please let us know if you are experiencing dental anxiety. It is extremely common to feel nervous or uncomfortable about a dental visit and it is nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about. Please let us know prior to your visit if you are experiencing fear or anxiety and we will work with you to make sure that you are completely comfortable.

At Feels Like Family Dentistry, we are committed to your dental health. We provide a wide range of treatments and procedures to keep your smile looking and feelings its best. Whether you have a chipped tooth, a cavity or its just time for a checkup, call us today to schedule an appointment.
